September 16th - 17th, 2000
Register Here - Members of the Jamaica High School Class of 1969 are invited to sign up for the events of September 16th - 17th, 2000.
For those persons requiring accommodations HollisNY.com recommends the Crowne Plaza Hotel by Laguardia Airport. It is the absolute best in Queens and although they have a shuttle the car rental places are in walking distance. The phone number is 718-457-6300 or 800-227-6963.
Saturday, September 16, 2000 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The 103rd Precinct Community Council will present its "Safety First Crime Prevention Fair." We will piggyback this event as an opportunity for 1969 Jamaica High School classmates to socialize outdoors and get re-acquainted in a relaxed atmosphere for free. Its actual purpose is to encourage community involvement and participation in public safety and quality of life issues. A limited supply of free bicycle helmets will be provided to children who register for the bike safety program. This family event has sponsorship from the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, Newsday, Samaritan Village, Greater Jamaica Development (Farmers Market), New York Mets and the Queens Courier Newspaper. It will take place on 195th Place between Hillside and 90th Avenues in Hollis, NY.

Saturday Evening, September 16, 2000 Working on an evening dining out. No plans have been finalized as of press time. Suggestions have included Master Grill, an Argentine Restaurant in College Point; Café-on-the-Green in Whitestone and several others. If you have an idea and are willing to do the work speak now of forever hold your peace. Here is what I would suggest...
